This is a long-time-back painting. It represents my fascination for the night sky. Whenever I look at the sky I am fascinated and enticed by the depth and the vastness. It sort of liberates the soul, the thought that I am also a part of this vastness.
Nights with clear sky, and those small diamond spread across the vast canvas in myriad patterns lends itself to creating beauty.I enjoy the memories today, as a child I sometimes sat on my father's lap and peered into the milky way. And yes, everything there was a "?". Sometimes the night is windy and one can see the clouds lazily float the stretch crossing the moon's bright path. I also saw the night in between the greens. The moon has always a divine hallow around it. A full moon night illuminates everything in the night, the path, ground, leaves shine and shimmers in the quietness and darkness.
In this drawing I summarize the same reflection into the beauty of full moon-lit sky, as seen from the ground across the trees and cloud. Darkness is ever present, a few specs of light, and quietness is all that is required to make it beautiful.
The medium is poster colors, on paper.
