This my first try at still life -live with oil paint as medium. I have done this on oil painting sheet of about A2 size. I have been watching some videos on composition and color theory, and also recently found interest in drawing objects from life simply by observing them. I think these things did influence this painting at this point and inspired me to simply appreciate the colors as they were, just emanating from the subject.
I did this rather in a hurry, just trying to observe and experience the colors and the forms and the tone. This has been done in approximately 3 hrs, with very little focus on details, just follow the colors with the eyes. Below is drawing alongside the still life setup.
