Birthday Cake, a cake cutting during birthdays with friends and families is one of those memorable moments in life. A celebration with loved ones is all one needs and birthdays make those special moments. I have celebrated many birthdays and cut many cakes, but what actually feels nice is that it being a special day for me and the joy in others face. I am thankful for everyone and appreciate each one who are there as friend and family and share my journey along.
This painting is inspired from a pic of my friend's birthday celebrations. I really liked the whole mood of the subject. The reflections and the texture of the cake surface creates that very yummy thought and the candle light calms the environment into its serenity.
The medium used is poster colors and its done on A3 size cartridge sheet.
With this art at the starting of the year I begin my indulgence to work more on different mediums of art. Soon you will be seeing this blog painted with with different mediums of work like oil, acrylic, poster, watercolor and dry pastels.
Last year, at around the same time I started with my work on drawing around 20 portraits for the year of 2013. It has surely improved my drawing skills but more than drawing celebrity portraits I really enjoyed drawing the portraits of friends and family. I could see the smile and the joy in their eyes, this is my actual gift to me from my art and its priceless. I hope to create many such priceless joys through my art in the times to come.
